What the CIQUERY Privacy Policy covers: This Privacy Policy covers CIQUERY’S treatment of personal information that CIQUERY collects when you are on the CIQUERY site, and when you use CIQUERY’s services. This policy also covers CIQUERY’S treatment of any personal information that CIQUERY’S business partners share with CIQUERY or that CIQUERY may collect on a partner's site.
Anonymous information is not personal information. Anonymous information is information about how you use our site
e.g sections you check. Anonymous information also includes the domain names and/or I.P. addresses
(as explained below) of internet browsers that visit our site, the time of day the site was visited, and other
non-personal information. Anonymous information is information that is not tied to any person who is not registered as an
CIQUERY member, but helps us know what our users do (for example, the average stay on our site lasts over 10 minutes).
The next sections tell how and when we collect anonymous information and personally identifiable information from you.
This policy does not apply to the practices of companies that CIQUERY does not own or control, or to people that CIQUERY does not employ or manage.
Information: CIQUERY will not send you any unsolicited information, including e-mail, except as mentioned below. New users will receive a CIQUERY welcome email explaining the features provided by the service. CIQUERY may also send periodic member letters to announce important service changes, new features, technical issue updates and news about other CIQUERY products and services. CIQUERY may also contact you to conduct research about your opinion of current and prospective services via e-mail surveys. CIQUERY may from time to time contact you, on behalf of external business partners, about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. CIQUERY will not share your e-mail address with these business partners. If you click on the link to the external partner's web site, be sure to review their privacy statement before sharing your personal information, as CIQUERY is not responsible for their content.
Your Ability to Edit and Delete Your Account Information and Preferences: CIQUERY gives you the ability to edit your CIQUERY: MY ACCOUNT and preferences at any time, including whether you want CIQUERY to contact you about specials and new products.
You may request deletion of your CIQUERY account by sending an email to support@ciquery.com clearly stating your username and password. We will send you an email directing you to a page that will give you the capacity to delete your account.
If you ask CIQUERY to delete your CIQUERY: MY ACCOUNT, in most cases your account will be deactivated and then deleted from our PROFILE registration database in approximately 120 days. This delay is necessary to discourage users from engaging in fraudulent activity.
Please note that any information that we have copied may remain in back-up storage for some period of time after your deletion request. This may be the case even though no information about your account remains in our active PROFILES databases.
Internet Protocols:An Internet protocol (I.P.) address is a set of numbers that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you log on to your internet service provider or through your company's local area network (LAN) or wide area network (WAN). Web servers automatically identify your computer by the IP address assigned to it during your session online.
We may collect I.P. addresses for some purposes e.g to analyse the hits on our site. We do not link a user's I.P. address to a persons’sprsonal information, which means we will have a record of each user's session via their Profile Identifier but the user remains anonymous to us via their IP
Security: We operate secure data networks protected by industry standard firewall and password protection. We have security measures in place to attempt to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of your user data under our control.
Only certain employees have access to the information you provide us. For example, we impose strict rules on our employees who have access either to the databases that store user information or to the servers that host our services. While we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration to data will not occur, we try to prevent such unfortunate occurrences.
If at any time you believe that CIQUERY has not adhered to the above points, please notify us by e-mail at privacy@ciquery.com and we will use all commercially reasonable efforts to promptly determine and correct the problem.
